Nintendo Top Seller

The NPD Group has reported that Nintendo is the top seller of total hardware sales. 

Nintendo has sold over 608,400 DS's and 555,000 Wii's. Sony has sold 224,900 PS3's and Microsoft sold 204,800 Xbox's.  Although last in systems sold, Microsoft, however, is claiming that users are buying an estimated 7.9 games per console sold.  Whatever the case, the numbers are clear cut, Wii is the winner for total hardware sales, with Sony, and then Microsoft coming from behind.
