Sony Discontinues PSP Extended Life Battery

In the second week of August 08, Sony has announced that they will be discontinuing the popular 2200 mAH extended life battery.

The extended battery would last longer than the standard issue battery by at least 50%, and some even people stated that they could get at least 10 hours of play time.  We at GameRetard wonder why Sony would pull such a popular and quality product. Perhaps its due to poor sales or matching battery clips is too much of a hassle and sunk cost.  If you don't have one, perhaps you should now get one.
